Stop thief!

If someone steals or finds your iPhone/iPod touch and opens this application, an e-mail message with the location of your device will be sent to you.

How to use?

Just open Stop thief! and type in your e-mail address. So every time someone opens the application, it will quietly send you the location of your device. The thief will not be suspicious, because the application will be similar to a weather channel.

When you open the e-mail, you will see the latitude and longitude your device is, the location accuracy and a map with the address!

While the application is opend it will keep trying to get the location with a better accuracy. If it do so, another e-mail will be sent to you.

How does the apllication determine the location?

Stop thief! uses three technologies: GPS, cell tower triangulation and Wi-Fi positioning Service (WPS). The location will be determined using the technology which has the best accuracy at the moment.

Pay attention:

1 - Launch the application at least twice so it will stop asking you to allow to use the current location. From that point on, the application will determine the current location automatically when launched.

2 - There is currently no way to open this application, or any ohter application, remotely.

3 - It would be more efficient if you position Stop thief! on the first screen of your device.

4 - Obviously, the title below the application's icon is not "Stop thief!".

5 - For iPod touch, the location accuracy may not be good, because iPod touch doesn't have all the technologies as iPhone does.
